Infrastructure

Studies of the Yvoir tunnel are about to begin!

After a long period of analysis and administrative work, preparatory work for the Yvoir tunnel studies began on August 16. Thanks to the tireless commitment of a team of volunteers and close collaboration with the Yvoir quarries, the site is now ready to welcome Swiss experts. They will implement innovative analysis techniques to assess the condition of the infrastructure and define a detailed work plan. This step marks a turning point in the restoration of this railway heritage. The results of these studies will help outline the contours of an ambitious project, which is part of a perspective of sustainable development and the enhancement of regional heritage.

Thanks to the results of this work we will be able to begin the next phase of in-depth research for the effective restoration of this marvelous work of art.
